This is because we need accurate data on the joint to ensure patient health. This will allow our doctors to make a reasonable assessment as to if you are a good candidate for treatment. It is ok to do both ankles on the same trip or as many joints as you want. We conduct an MRI so that we can see the bones and soft tissues such as cartilage, tendons and ligaments. We don&#8217;t guess when doing treatments and we want to make sure you know exactly what is wrong with your ankle before doing treatment. It is also done for your safety, we want to make sure that there are no anomalies or reasons why treatment would not be a good option. If our doctors review the MRI and decide that you are not a good candidate for treatment then you are out the cost of the MRI, which is $500 usd. If you do an MRI within 6 months of treatment then send it in for review our doctors will let you know if you are a candidate for treatment before coming.
