9 Things to Know Before Getting Stem Cell Foot Neuropathy Treatment in Mexico

Burning, tingling, numbness or pain in the feet can disrupt sleep, walking and daily life. If you are weighing a regenerative option that focuses on the nerves, here are nine things to know before you book stem cell foot neuropathy treatment at Dream Body Clinic in Bucerías, near Puerto Vallarta.

1. The protocol is 25 million stem cells injected at the top of the foot

The treatment is an injection of 25 million mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) at the top of the foot, where the roots of the nerves are located. The clinic describes the cells as seeking out inflamed nerves and releasing neurotrophic factors (such as BDNF, NGF and GDNF) that aim to support nerve survival, calm inflammation and help guide repair.

2. The cells work by signaling, not by becoming new nerves

The page is clear on this point: MSCs do not turn directly into new nerve cells in adults. They work mainly through the signals they release, plus effects on inflammation and blood supply to the nerves. That is why results are described as supportive and gradual, and why they vary from person to person.

3. The cells are made in the clinic’s own lab

The MSCs come from Wharton’s jelly and placenta from live, healthy births. They are processed in Dream Body Clinic’s on-site, COFEPRIS-certified and ISO-rated laboratory, which the clinic says has more than 8 years of experience cultivating MSCs.

4. There is one published price, with bloodwork included

The all-inclusive package is $1,750 USD. It includes the 25 million cell injection and a full blood panel, administered by medical professionals in a certified facility.

5. It is used for foot neuropathy

The page describes it for people with foot neuropathy, including diabetic neuropathy, who have burning, tingling, numbness or pain and want a regenerative option focused on the nerves, as an alternative to ongoing medication or more invasive options. Results vary with the severity and duration of the condition.

6. It is not right for everyone

Candidacy is reviewed from your medical history and blood panel. The clinic does not treat anyone who has had cancer in the past 5 years, as a precaution. A very small percentage of patients are non-responders, and the clinic says this can happen with any treatment. The page also notes that this is a clinic protocol, not an FDA-approved U.S. indication, and the clinic does not promote it as a cure.

7. Plan for at least four days in town

This is the shortest stay of the joint and nerve treatments. A typical schedule: Day 1 arrive and rest, Day 2 bloodwork and payment, Day 3 treatment, Day 4 fly home. Unlike the joint treatments, there is no MRI step.

8. Recovery is gradual

Some tightness or soreness the night after treatment or the next day is the most commonly reported side effect. The clinic advises two weeks off exercise or sports, then a 4-week physical rehab protocol it provides, and a light return to activity after about 6 weeks. Improvements are commonly reported over the following months, with peak results often in the 3 to 6 month window. As with any injection, there is a very small risk of infection. The clinic uses iodine and microdacyn to reduce it.

9. Preparation matters

  • Stop NSAIDs at least 1 week before treatment and for at least 2 weeks after (preferably 6 weeks).
  • Avoid cortisone or corticosteroid injections for 3 months before treatment, and for at least 3 months after (preferably 6).
  • Stop prednisone at least 1 week before and 2 weeks after.
  • Avoid anti-inflammatory supplements such as ginkgo biloba or turmeric for at least 2 weeks after.

The clinic says these drugs interfere with how MSCs respond to inflammation. Always check with your own doctor before stopping any prescribed medication, especially if you manage diabetes.
